Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy was born on November 25, 1968. She is a Canadian singer, actress and musician. Her most notable roles include those on American TV's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She has also appeared on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she also wrote and directed). Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and a marketing/sales executive. His job required extensive travel, which resulted in several moves for the family. Maxine Hernnessy was Maxine's mother and secretary, passed away in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother in Kitchener (Ontario) took part in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. Her younger brother is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin who is a journalist in a magazine and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian roots on her father's side and most Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian, ancestry on her mother's side. She attended Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother who made their acting debut in 1988 when they were twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, has revealed that she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared in the 1988 film Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 for the role of Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, on the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The show ran for three seasons. She left the show after 1996.
